ArthKatha (a unit of Avishek Saha, Proprietor — Marketix Digital) (“ArthKatha”, “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to arthkatha.com and our courses.
1. What we collect
- Account & contact data — name, mobile number and email you submit when you sign up or buy a course.
- Learning data — course progress, quiz attempts, certificates issued.
- Payment data — handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we receive only the order status and amount.
- Technical data — device, browser, IP address, pages visited, and (if you consent) analytics identifiers such as Google Analytics / Meta Pixel cookies.
- Communications — messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
2. How we use it
To create and secure your account, deliver the courses you enrol in, issue certificates, provide support, send course-related emails, improve our content and site, prevent fraud and abuse, and — only where you opt in — send updates on WhatsApp or email. We may show you a light watermark of your own email on videos as a piracy deterrent.
3. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember preferences, and (optionally) analytics/advertising cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure our campaigns. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data without your explicit permission. We share it with service providers who help us run the Platform — payment gateway (Razorpay), hosting, video delivery (Bunny.net), email/WhatsApp delivery, and analytics — under confidentiality, and where required by law.
4a. Sharing with SEBI-registered advisers (optional)
When you create an account, you can tick an optional box allowing SEBI-registered investment advisers and stock brokers to contact you about their services. Only if you tick it do we share your name and mobile number with such entities, and we may receive a fee from them for the introduction. This is never required to use ArthKatha, is unticked by default, and is not part of our Terms. You can withdraw the permission at any time from your dashboard (Profile & settings → Advisor contact) or by emailing info@arthkatha.com; after withdrawal we stop sharing your details with any new recipient. We keep a record of the date, time, wording and IP address of the permission you gave, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires.
5. Retention & security
We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists and as required by Indian tax and accounting law. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (SSL, access controls) to protect your data.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or ask us to delete your personal data, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time, by emailing info@arthkatha.com. We respond within 15 days.
7. Children
Our courses are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the latest version is always posted here.
